Suitability Statement

As Bishop of Selby I seek to support all initiatives within the Town and its District which enhance the life of our communities. Education is vital to this end and having a wife and two daughters as teachers as well as having spent 16 years in adult education I have seen the dividends of such investment particularly in disadvantaged communities. My role also enables me to advocate for and promote Selby and also means that I visit many schools in North Yorkshire and the East Riding.
