Selby Educational Trust is pleased to announce that Ian Clennan has been appointed as the new Chief Executive of Selby Educational Trust. Ian has been head teacher of Selby Community Primary School for 11 years and is also a National Leader of Education.
Ian said, “I am delighted and honoured to take on this role that has been held since the Trust began by Francis Loftus. This is an exciting point in developing our Trust to improve the inspirational and outstanding learning experiences for all young people in Selby and the surrounding area we serve.”
On the appointment, Chair of Trustees, Jane Tupper commented, “The Trustees were unanimous in their decision to appoint Ian Clennan as Chief Executive. Ian brings a wealth of skills, national networks and expertise to continue to develop our Trust to help transform the lives of the pupils in the Trust schools.”
Ian will continue in his role as Head teacher of Selby Community Primary School alongside the new responsibilities of executive role at the Trust.
