Suitability Statement
Trudy has been the governance lead for SET since 2017, providing governance support to the Board and its committees. Trudy has also been the clerk at Selby Community Primary School since 2016. She led on the governance aspects of the transition to academy status for Selby Community Primary School and Carlton Primary School. She currently clerks for both schools. In 2021/22 the National Governance Assocation conducted an external review of governance which highlighted that SET governance is in a strong position.
Experience
Trudy spent the early part of her career in banking, progressing through operational, human resources and project management roles. She then moved into consultancy, specialising in executive search and management development in the private and public sectors, latterly in schools and further education colleges across the UK.
Trudy is an experienced governance professional and school clerk. She has clerked for a number of schools in North Yorkshire since 2016.
