We are delighted to announce that Selby Community Primary School continues to be a ‘Good’ school. Ofsted visited back in April 2022 and confirmed that the school continues to be a good school.
Despite the challenges of the pandemic, Selby Community Primary School continues to improve. Ofsted praised the fact that since joining Selby Educational Trust the school continues to grow. The curriculum for pupils was described as ‘amibitious’, with the reading and maths curriculum described as strong.
Ian Clennan, CEO and Headteacher of Selby CP states, ‘We are truly delighted to read this report. It reflects the hard work of the school community before, during and since Covid. The amazing work of pupils, staff and parents has been captured in this report. From a Selby Educational Trust point of view this is the first school to be inspected since SET began and it fills me with such encouragement that our school improvement model is Shaping Futures Through Education.’
